10 Questions With…Stalley

UKSoul.Org: Tell us THREE interesting facts about Stalley?

Stalley:

1) I’m Religious

2) I can play basketball

3) I can’t cook

UKSoul.Org: What experience/success to date stands out in your music career?

Stalley:

Just being able to put out music and have people want to listen to it feels like success to me, so that would be my greatest experience to date.

UKSoul.Org: Tell us about your projects with Creative Control (http://www.creativecontrol.tv/).

Stalley:

Creative Control has really been a big part of establishing my brand since they have provided a vast majority of the visuals for my music. I really love working with them because they always see my vision and really bring the music to life for me. Everything I’ve done with them so far has been a lot of fun. You can check out all the things we’ve done at http://www.creativecontrol.tv/www/#/shows/the-milq/.

UKSoul.Org: Which track on your new album “MadStalley: The Autobiography” is your favourite or most sentimental and why?

Stalley:

“Babblin’” because it takes me back to when I was growing up. I’d buy music and crack open a cd and really start listening and start babbling to myself or mumbling and create my own rhymes to the music. Then, I would try and turn the rhymes into a little song. That’s kind of what I did with “Babblin”.

UKSoul.Org: Who or what inspires you and why?

Stalley:

I inspire myself really because I don’t feel like anything else is really inspiration besides my city. Life experiences have definitely inspired me, but really I’m my own motivation because I want to be great and create timeless music.

UKSoul.Org: I’m a genie and I have granted you one wish…. what would your one wish be (you can’t wish for more wishes)?

Stalley:

Peace of mind

UKSoul.Org: What is your worst habit or best quality?

Stalley:

My best qualities are that I’m always myself and that I’m honest.

UKSoul.Org: If you could take only THREE items to a deserted island, what would they be and why??

Stalley:

I would bring my Qu’ran, an ipod and a blackberry.

UKSoul.Org: You have collaborated with a huge list of credible artists but if you could collaborate with one more artist, who would it be and why?

Stalley:

Nas, because that’s someone that I admired growing up and listening to music.

UKSoul.Org: Lastly what does the future hold for Stalley?

Stalley:

Success and a lot of timeless music
